My Writer's Diary

"If a writer falls in love with you,
you can never die."
- Unkown
Hello Book Lovers!

After everyone and their mum was doing it, I decided to try it, too. I started my very own - and very first! - Bullet Journal. I have been obsessed with looking at BuJo posts for sooo long, and I decided it was time to start it too. So I wished for a dotted notebook for Christmas and that's the story of how I found a new hobby. I won't get in detail about the Bullet Journal system, nor will I show you pictures, because I'm actually not that artistically talented.

But I wouldn't be me if that would just be everything. No, I did not write a blogpost just to tell you I started a Bullet Journal. I actually, next to my Bullet Journal, started something way more exciting! A Writer's Diary. Or a Writer's Journal? I'm actually not quite sure as to what to call it, but I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it.

The way I do it is very similar to a Bullet Journal. First I set up a 2018 Goals page (something I didn't include in my normal journal), so that, at the end of the year I can look back and see how much I've accomplished. If I've accomplished anything. I'm sure all of you have seen the A YEAR IN PIXELS thing, I did a thing just like that, but only for my writing progress. The categories I chose were:
  • Did not write
  • Worked on my Pinterest board
  • Wrote a little
  • Editing!
  • Wrote + not satisfied
  • Writing went amaziiing
Like this I can see at one glance how much - or how little - I actually wrote throughout the year, and I can hold myself accountable.
Well, after that I started a monthly tracker thing. Since I already have a bullet journal I do not need  a calendar or a weekly overview. What I did do was start a January WORDS WRITTEN tracker. This is just a monthly overview of how much I've written and I'll create kind of like a line graph to track my writing.

These are just my very first few pages, and I'm still seeing how I can improve my journal, but what I definitely want to include is:
  • A character cheat sheet, to write down the most important details of my most important characters
  • A motivational quotes page
  • A page of sentences, lines, etc. that I want to include in my novel (like a brain dump).
Also, my journal is by far the cutest thing:

For my Writer's Diary, I'm using the Belle one. I got this set of three when I visited Disney Land Paris over New Years.

I guess this is everything I can tell you so far about my new journal. I hope you were able to learn something, and maybe you are now inspired to start a journal like this of your own.

Let me know in the comments if maybe you already have A Writer's Diary and maybe if you have any tips, or spread ideas.

Have a wonderful day!
